Lemlem

Model-turned-advocate Liya Kebede launched her line of breezy, hand-woven cotton basics in an effort to share the beautiful handiwork of Ethiopian artisans from her native country. True to its name (Lemlem means “to bloom” or “to flourish” in Amharic), the collection is devoted to ethical trade and production practices that aim to encourage prosperity and success for the local artisans at work behind the looms, while preserving their rich tradition of intricate weaving patterns and careful craftsmanship.
