About the Brand

It’s hard to believe that Michael Kors first launched his brand in the windows of a boutique near Bergdorf Goodman back in the late ‘70s—Dawn Mello, the fashion director at Bergdorf’s at the time, spotted his pieces from the sidewalk and his collection has been on their floor ever since. Today, he’s an essential member of the small and exclusive club that constitutes the great American designers, with pieces that are just as relevant now as they were almost forty years ago.
