Coffee Mint Soap

US $18.00

This gorgeously-packaged, Brooklyn-made bar soap combines coffee grounds and peppermint essential oils into an exfoliating, invigorating shower experience. It’s a cleansing morning ritual in the shower or tub; incredibly, it also removes the scent of garlic or onions from hands, so it’s brilliant in the kitchen, too. A hydrating base of saponified olive oil, coconut, and shea butter leaves skin soft and supple, and the wrapping is so pretty, it’s basically an instant gift.

About the Brand

We fell in love with Saipua before we even knew they made their gorgeous, hand-poured, olive-oil-based soaps—when we happened into their extraordinary flower boutique/design workshop in Red Hook, Brooklyn. The mother-daughter team creates all the magic using botanicals, oils, flowers and essences grown at World’s End, their upstate New York farm. (Mom, Susan Ryhanen, has been creating the cold-pressed soaps since the late nineties; daughter Sarah Ryhanen arranges flowers at the Red Hook studio). The (serious) bonus on the nourishing, fantastic-smelling soaps is the absolutely exquisite wrappings they come in—truly, the make an instant, please-everyone-and-everyone gift that never needs to be wrapped.
