About the Brand

Atlantique Ascoli followed in her Parisian parents’ very chic footsteps when she took to designing her line of tailored separates: her mother Emmanuelle Khanh was a top model in the 1960s who went on to launch her own eyewear line; and her father, Quasar Khanh, is an icon in avant-garde design (his works include a glass-cube car). Inspired by the legendary women like Martha Graham and Charlotte Perriand, Atlantique’s poised, pared-down interpretations of Victorian-era design—like shirred collars and volume-enhancing pleats—are typically made with cotton and linen shirting that gives each piece a bit of structure. In keeping with her less-is-more design philosophy, each piece is meticulously perfected—ironically, it takes a lot of effort to achieve that sort of effortless elegance.
