About the Brand

The anonymous design team behind NYC-based brand R13 began with a destroyed-yet-luxe denim collection in 2009. It took seven years for Chris Leba, a former VP at Ralph Lauren, to claim ownership, as the edge-driven collection of investment pieces took to the runway for the first time (which went down in a rustic converted-industrial loft in SoHo, fittingly). The genius of R13: co-opting the anti-fashion style emblematic of punk and grunge, in luxury-grade reinterpretations.
