About the Brand

The inspiration for Stutterheim comes from founder Alexander Stutterheim’s grandfather, a jack-of-all trades who frequently went out to sea in his native Stockholm to go fishing. After his grandfather’s death, Alexander found his classic rain coat in an abandoned barn that belonged to the family—inspired by its clean cut and utility, he used it as the foundation for his very first jacket. Handmade by skilled seamstresses in Stockholm, the entire line is a tribute to Stutterheim’s grandfather: utilitarian, subtly ‘60s, a bit melancholy, and quintessentially Swedish.
